The Indian Federation of Neurorehabilitation IFNR is happy to announce the IFNR Young Investigator Award scheme for the annual IFNR conference being held from 12th to 14th April 2024.
IFNR is the apex body in the country for neurorehabilitation whose vision is to develop the field and support the young multidisciplinary professionals in our country.
A number of young professionals working in different locations have been developing new innovative methods of care. It is important that their work be disseminated to a larger audience in the country so that patients and families benefit and there is an impetus for original ideas and research in the country.
The purpose of this scholarship is to support and encourage these professionals.
If you feel that as a neurorehabilitation professional you have done work that fulfills one or more of the criteria mentioned below and are within the age limit, you are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
Published Original Research OR PhD. thesis / dissertation with origimal research has been accepted.
Developed an innovative new method/intervention for a patient(s).
Involved in a multidisciplinary neurorehabilitation initiative / project.
Age Limit: Born on or after 1st January 1989.
You will have to describe your work in a 1000 word essay and attach your brief CV, both as .pdf files, less than 2MB each.
A panel of expert judges will select the winners and you will be notified by mail if you have been awarded the scholarship.
The scholarship award of Rs 10,000/- for each of the ten best entries will be given at the annual conference and the awardees will also be asked to present their work at the meeting. If the winners of the scholarship award are not members of IFNR on the date of disbursement, they will be made members of IFNR and given the difference amount, after deducting the membership fee.
It is mandatory that you register for the conference. Last date for submitting your application (essay +CV) is 15th February 2024.
