IFNRCON 2024
Indian Federation of Neurorehabilitation (IFNR) - the national body of all experts involved in Neurorehabilitation in the country – held its 12th Annual Conference IFNRCON 2024 from 12th to 14th April 2024 at JIPMER Puducherry. Reshaping Neurorehab through Technology was the apt theme of IFNRCON 2024, given the way technology is impacting every aspect of neurorehabilitation. The role of technology is likely to grown in the coming years and the scientific program was planned to give delegates a view on the current status and future trends in this regard. This conference was organized jointly by IFNR and the Neurorehab subsection of Indian Academy of Neurology (IAN).
IFNRCON 2024 provided an ideal platform to all the professionals involved in patient care and neurorehabilitation like Neurologists, Neurosurgeons, Rehab Physician, Developmental Paediatricians, Physical Therapists, Speech and Swallow Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Clinical Psychologists, Music Therapists, Special Educators etc. The vast JIPMER campus and auditoriums provided an excellent venue for such an academic event.
The pre-conference workshop day, with 10 hand’s on workshops, was a busy day where delegates got to see and interact with experts on various aspects of neurorehabilitation. Cognitive rehabilitation workshop saw a tremendous response with more thatn 180 delegates in attendance.
The 2 day-conference that followed witnessed very good attendance and participation from the delegates who got the opportunity to hear experts from across the country. Sessions like the ICMR workshop, WFNR Presidential Oration, IFNR Oration and many joint sessions with other associations saw delegates participating with a barrage of questions and interaction with the faculty.
As usual, young students were the driving force of iFNRCON. Their participation and enthusiasm was palpable in the E-Poster presentations, IFNR Quiz as well as the Q&A part of all sessions. Presentations by the 10 IFNR Young Investigator Award 2024 (YIA 2024) winners was also very well received and appreciated.
Public forum session with support group, were also organized for patents / caregivers to share their problems, success stories and to join forces and work for supporting each other and get their rights.
We thank all faculty, trade partners, JIPMER management and staff as well as all the delegates whose whole-hearted support made IFNRCON 2024 a grand success!!
