2^nd ITNRCON / IFNRCON 2026

The Indian Federation of Neurorehabilitation (IFNR) hosted the 2nd International Tele Neuro Rehabilitation Conference (ITNRCON) in conjunction with the 13th Annual IFNR Conference (IFNRCON 2026) from April 9 to 12, 2026, at The Westin Mumbai Powai Lake, Mumbai, INDIA. Themed “Technology Supported Rehabilitation: Current Scenario, Emerging Trends,” the event took a holistic view of neuro rehabilitation, covering every aspect of care and in particular highlighted the role of digital tools, tele-rehabilitation and AI in transforming neurorehabilitation.

2nd ITNCON / IFNRCON 2026 was organized in collaboration with the Neurorehab and Telehealth Subsections of the Indian Academy of Neurology (IAN) and Neuroscience Academy of Telecare & Artificial Intelligence (NATAI). The conference was supported by Indian Association of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (IAPMR), The Indian Association Of Physiotherapist (IPA), All India Occupational Therapists Association (AIOTA), Indian Speech and Hearing Association (ISHA), Orthotics & Prosthetics Association of India (OPAI), Association of Neonatal Therapists (ANT), Global Vision Brain Alliance (GVBA), Association of Child Neurology (AOCN) and many more have lent their support.

Faculty of 2ndITNRCON / IFNRCON 2026 included a galaxy of international and national experts across the multidisciplinary team of neurorehabilitation, who shared their insights in disease management and patient care while displaying cutting edge technological innovations which will shape the discipline in years the come. Attendees benefited from interactive sessions, guest lectures, orations, symposia, supporting organization symposia, meet-the-expert sessions, neurorehabilitation quiz, e-poster and platform presentations. The IFNR Young Investigator Awards recognized outstanding research by early-career professionals. A special public forum brought together patients, caregivers and support groups, encouraging advocacy, awareness and peer support.

The statistics of 2nd ITNRCON / IFNRCON 2026 were quite impressive:

• 927 registrations, which included, 298 Faculty comprising of 36 International and 262 National faculty. There were 517 Delegates, 9 Accompanying Persons, 5 Volunteers and 98 Trade Partners. • The scientific program included 15 Workshops in 11 parallel halls, 8 parallel halls for Conference, 7 Orations, 8 Invited Guest Lectures, 29 Symposia,15 Breakfast Sessions, 4 Debates, IFNR Neurorehab Quiz and Public Forum. The special sessions conducted by EFNR – WFNR, ICMR, BIS and Lancet Commission on Neurorehabilitation were very well attended and received by the delegates.

There were 176 Posters from which 3 winners were declared and 5 Travel bursaries of Rs 10,000 were given from among 17 applicants.

2nd ITNRCON / IFNRCON 2026 was more than a conference—it was a platform for growth, collaboration and impact in the evolving field of neurorehabilitation. The positive feedback received from the faculty and delegates pointed to the conference being an enriching experience in learning and networking, as they explored the future of neurorehabilitation with the latest technological advancements shaping the field.
